Terms of Use

1. Purpose and Access to the Ecosystem

Palatine Academy is dedicated to cutting-edge executive education, methodological research and the publication of strategic intelligence on project management, governance and leadership. Access to our services and content covers:

• The public institutional website (pltn.com.br) with blog articles, course information, faculty and contact channels.
• The institutional curated Athenaeum (second brain), a repository of strategic governance and methodological research operated within the Palatine ecosystem.
• Our own secure learning environments, currently evolving and under continuous development to host the recorded courses and the issue of certificates.

2. Registration, Credentials and Account Security

Certain training areas, downloads of executive materials and student environments require prior registration or enrolment. By registering:

• You undertake to provide true, accurate and up-to-date information on the enrolment forms and in Palatine Academy's teaching environment.
• You are solely responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality of your login credentials and password, which are strictly personal and non-transferable.
• Any activity carried out using your credentials will be considered your sole responsibility, and you must notify the institution immediately if you suspect a breach or unauthorised access at faleconosco@pltn.com.br.

3. Conduct and Interactions in the Curated Athenaeum

Our curated Athenaeum (second brain) and our publications make room for well-founded interactions and executive discussions among high-calibre professionals. When posting comments or submitting notes and questions:

• You agree to maintain ethical, respectful and constructive conduct, in line with the precepts of excellence and academic honour of the Paladin's Code.
• It is expressly forbidden to publish unlawful, defamatory or insulting content, content with prejudiced language, unauthorised commercial spam or material that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties.
• Palatine Academy reserves the sovereign right to moderate, edit, hide or remove any contribution that is at odds with these guidelines, at its discretion and without prior notice.

4. Intellectual Property and Prohibition of Account Sharing

All of Palatine Academy's educational and scientific assets — including curricular structures, video lessons, supporting texts, lecture notes, source code, conceptual frameworks, registered trademarks and heraldic visual identity — are the exclusive intellectual property of Palatine Academy, protected by the Brazilian Copyright Law (Law No. 9,610/1998), the Industrial Property Law (Law No. 9,279/1996) and international treaties.

Access to courses, handouts and the restricted Athenaeum is granted under an individual, temporary and non-transferable licence. The practice of "rateio" (unauthorised group purchasing), recording, redistribution, copying, password sharing or resale of any material is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply will result in the immediate revocation of access, without any right to reimbursement, in addition to the appropriate determination of civil liability for loss and damage and any applicable criminal prosecution.

5. Enrolment, Payments and Right of Withdrawal (Consumer Code)

In strict compliance with Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) and the E-Commerce Decree (Decree No. 7,962/2013):

• Refund Procedure: To exercise the right of withdrawal within the statutory period, simply send an email to faleconosco@pltn.com.br with the proof of purchase or enrolment details. The refund will be processed in full through the same payment method used for the purchase (a credit on the credit card statement or a transfer via PIX/bank).
• Access after the Period: Once the statutory 7-day period has expired, amounts paid will not be refunded in the event of withdrawal without cause, and access to the content remains guaranteed for the period stipulated in the respective offer or contracted modality.

6. Limitation of Liability

Palatine Academy employs best practices in software engineering and network infrastructure to ensure high performance, stability and availability across its digital ecosystem. Nevertheless:

• We are not liable for temporary unavailability resulting from scheduled technical maintenance, structural failures at the user's telecommunications providers or events of force majeure beyond our reasonable control.
• Our courses and the curated Athenaeum convey the state of the art and validated scientific methodology in project and business management. However, the practical implementation of the techniques, the strategic decisions made and their operational results in the corporate environment are the autonomous and exclusive responsibility of the student and of the organisation that employs them.
• The institution is not liable for any loss of profit, financial loss or investment decisions arising from the individual interpretation of the case studies and academic concepts presented.

7. Changes to the Terms

Palatine Academy may review and update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect methodological improvements, the expansion of functionality on its own platform or adjustments to prevailing regulations. Whenever there are substantial changes, the date of the last update will be amended at the top of this document. Continued use of the environments and services after the revisions are published constitutes agreement to, and full acceptance of, the new terms.

8. Governing Law and Chosen Forum

These Terms of Use are governed, construed and enforced in strict accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in particular the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014), the Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) and the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018). The courts of the Judicial District of Brasília, Federal District, are chosen to settle any disputes arising from this instrument, with express waiver of any other forum, however privileged it may be or become.
